Home Health Aide 75-Hour Course

Program Objective:

The program is designed to train home health aides through didactic, use of textbook, reading, videos, instructor demonstration, return demonstration and pre/ post quizzes and a final exam to measure learning. The student is supplied with textbooks and all the supplies necessary to practice basic skills. This course satisfies the federal law requirement that home health aides employed by agencies accepting Medicare and Medicaid complete at least 75 hours of study (42 C.F.R. §484.36(a)(1)).

Program Description:

The program is designed to train home health aides through didactic, use of textbook, reading, videos, instructor demonstration, return demonstration and pre/post quizzes and a final exam to measure learning. The student is supplied with textbooks and all the supplies necessary to practice basic skills. Completion of this program enables the graduate to work for employers who require 75 hours of Home Health Aide training. Students also CPR and HIV/OSHA 5 hour certification included in this program.

Entrance Requirements or Prerequisites:

Must be 18 years of age and able to speak, read and write English. Student must complete a Reading Comprehension exam and pass the entrance exam with a 70% or above.

Registration:

All students entering the Home Health Aide 75 Program are required to register prior to the class. At the signing of the enrollment agreement, a $100 deposit must be paid consisting of a registration fee $50 and $50 to be applied toward tuition. This deposit is included in the cost of the program.
