TNCC
Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) developed by the ENA is the gold standard for nurses, hospitals, emergency rooms and trauma centers worldwide. Providing the knowledge, critical thinking skills and hands-on training needed to keep trauma patients safe. After completing this course, you will be able to properly assess and implement evidence-based interventions to improve outcomes for your patients. All participants must be a licensed RN to received certification.
It is suggested that all participants read the complete TNCC Provider Course manual, 8th edition. A card verifying the successful completion of the TNCC Provider Course will be issued to the RN along with a certificate for 18.25 contact hours for the standard course, 10.75 for the Fast Track, and 3 contact hours for the Challenger. An email will go out after registration containing all information necessary to choose your pathway.
Certification remains current for four years.
Virtual TNCC Certification
For the foreseeable future our TNCC courses will remain virtual via Zoom with online blended learning components. Our course directors have designed a unique and interactive virtual classroom that will save you time while providing the skills and knowledge necessary to be an extremely effective trauma nurse. No matter where you practice nursing our virtual classroom is a convenient pathway towards your TNCC certification!
Registration and Schedule
Once you register you will receive an email with further instructions on how to proceed, Zoom links, and the course schedule. This is an ENTIRELY virtual option for the time being that anyone can attend.
Day 1: 9am – 5pm, EDT
Day 2: 9am – 1pm, EDT
The times you will need to be in the virtual classroom vary depending on what student path you chose via the ENA website after registration. This will be clear in the email instructions.
